There are two progression levels, with some candidates able to enter the Advanced level without completing the Foundation level, depending on their seniority and professional experience. In addition, the Executive Level provides ongoing CPD and access to reference materials for senior professionals and decision-makers.

Foundation Level
The Foundation Level aims to provide participants with a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of credit and lending. It equips professionals with the knowledge to assess credit proposals, manage risk, and make sound lending decisions in personal, business, and property lending environments.
Learning Approach
The course is delivered via a self-paced online eLearning platform, providing participants with interactive and engaging content, video presentations, and a personalised study plan. Participants also benefit from live seminars led by senior-level subject matter experts, incorporating scenario-based learning to bridge theory and practice.
Assessment
Course Work: 2000-word case-based assignment
Examination: 2 hour online multiple-choice online examination.
The course weighting is 50/50 with a combined pass mark 60.

Credit Skills Academy recommend that candidates applying to the Advanced Level Credit Course first complete the Foundation Level. There will be exceptions to individuals whose experience and educational background warrant an exemption from Foundation Level.
Successful candidates will be awarded a Certificate of Completion and 35 hours of Continuous Professional Development.
Study Progression
Eligible candidates may qualify for an exemption from the Credit & Lending module of the Chartered Banker MBA, subject to meeting Bangor University’s admission criteria.
