Understand the financing of weapons, controlled materials and sensitive technologies, together with the risks posed by proliferation financing to financial institutions and national authorities. Participants explore international regulatory frameworks, sanctions obligations, typologies and indicators associated with proliferation financing activity. The course is scheduled over 12 weeks. Learning is delivered through live interactive webinars facilitated by a subject expert, independent study and ManchesterCF Financial Intelligence learning materials developed in collaboration with experienced practitioners and subject-matter experts. These materials are complemented by academic literature, peer-reviewed research and industry resources to provide a professionally relevant and academically rigorous learning experience. Assessment comprises two written assignments: a situational analysis and a best practice review. Together, they encourage critical analysis, academic enquiry and the application of financial intelligence concepts to contemporary professional practice. Taken individually through the Professional Development Route, this course leads to a certificate jointly issued by Acwila Executive Education & Training and ManchesterCF Financial Intelligence upon successful completion. Alternatively, this course may be selected as an elective course within the Applied Diploma or Advanced Diploma pathways.
